In the summer of 2015, the Toledo Museum of Art opened “Play Time,” an interactive, family-friendly exhibit offering museum-goers the chance to have a more immersive experience, playing with various works of art throughout the Museum.
I was tasked with creating a look and feel that met the energy of the many pieces in the exhibition that were spread across the campus. In addition to designing environmental pieces, signage and t-shirts, I came up with a way finding system that not only marked which pieces were part of the exhibition, but also made locating the next piece fun with the exhibition brochure. All centered around a three dimensional entrance piece that I designed to pop off the transom, using wires to hang letters from the ceiling in a playful manner.
